From May 28 through June 2, I am in Seoul, Korea, delivering two lectures. The first, “Bush-League America: Conservatism and Cosmopolitanism in American Baseball and Politics,” is part of the American Culture Lecture Series at Sogang University. (A copy of the text has been posted to the “Talks” section of this site.) The second, “Why Emergent Literatures Matter: Reading Twentieth-Century U.S. Literature,” is sponsored by The Institute of English and American Studies at Ewha Womans University.

From June 11 through June 15, Professor Bryan Waterman and I will be conducting a seminar for NYU’s Faculty Resource Network on “Multiculturalism, Cosmopolitanism, and Contemporary New York Writing.”
